Phil Kusabs (aka VK) formed Auckland-based black metal band Vassafor in the mid-90s, and the band has gone on to become one of New Zealand's most internationally respected extreme metal bands.
Kusabs is a self-taught sound engineer and has worked with a lengthy list of bands from New Zealand and overseas, in the studio and live on stage.
He's just back from Europe, where he toured with Swedish death/black metal band Irkallian Oracle, and played in the ranks of Canadian extreme metal outfit Blasphemy at Norway's Inferno Festival.
