Christchurch based producer, Tyrone Frost goes by the name Kamandi.
His moody, cinematic, bass heavy productions caught the attention of Brainfeeder’s Azizi Gibson while he was in New Zealand for the Redbull Sound Select Blockparty in June- and saw Kamandi produce two tunes with Azizi- including the title track- for Azizi’s new Backwards Books EP.
Despite Kamandi’s rising trajectory, his flatmates aren’t always so thrilled to hear what he’s working on- and have banished him to the garage… as he tells Aleyna Martinez
