It's been a slow but steady road for Janine who has been working hard to forge a name for herself in the most overcrowded music market in the world. Five years after she moved to New York she had all but given up on her music career when one of her songs got a sync deal on the TV show 'Love and Hip Hop'.
Ten million SoundCloud plays and a major record deal later Janine suddenly had momentum which she capitalised on by winning the 2015 Tui for Best Hip Hop/Urban album. Now based in Los Angeles her maturing sound is still soulful, romantic and wistful as evidenced on her new single, 'Unstable'.
