New Zealand Music Awards finalists announced

Lorde is to perform at the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards with tickets going on sale tomorrow.

Fans who missed out on tickets to her intimate shows at the Powerstation in November will be jumping at the chance to get tickets when they go on sale tomorrow.

The news came as part of this morning’s announcement of the VNZMA finalists.

Onehunga rap crew SWIDT lead the field with a total of six nominations, while Lorde is up for a total of five, Aldous Harding four and Nadia Reid three.

TEEKS is also up for three awards, Fazerdaze is nominated for Best Alternative Artist and Breakthrough Artist of the Year, and David Dallas is in the running for Album Of The Year.

Recent APRA Maioha winners Alien Weaponry are nominated for Best Maori Artist, as is Maisey Rika.

Other performers on the night include SWIDT, TEEKS, Theia and Devilskin.

The awards take place on Thursday, 16 November at Auckland's Spark Arena.
