Beck

It's been six years since Beck's last album Modern Guilt. During that time he suffered a spinal injury which hindered his ability to play and perform. He's been working pretty solidly though, producing albums for Charlotte Gainsbourg, Thurston Moore and Stephen Malkmus; he founded his Record Club, whereby musicians of his choosing re-recorded a classic album; and released a collection of songs in sheet music form. The latest album Morning Phase has been compared to his 2002 album Sea Change, with the two featuring many of the same musicians, his father David Campbell again wrote orchestral arrangements, and the same Nashville studio was booked for some sessions.
