Hawaii joined 11 other Pacific Island nations for the first time at this year’s festival.
Grammy nominee Keola Beamer and his wife Moanalani are known for their contemporary take on traditional Hawaiian music and they represented their archipelago at Pasifika over the weekend. Nick Atkinson caught up with Keola and Moanalani Beamer the day before the event as they performed a set at the Auckland Art Gallery.
