Tonight, Paul Plieger, Associate Professor and Deputy Head of the School of Fundamental Sciences at Massey University introduces us to the element Beryllium and the reason for tonight's sonic tonic dedicated to X-rays.

For this Friday Night Live we join Unstrung Heroes at the Spiegeltent March 2016, featuring The Black Quartet with special guests Rob Ruha, James Milne (Lawrence Arabia) and Hollie Fullbrook (Tiny Ruins).

Radio New Zealand engineer Andre Upston was on deck to capture the performance, ensuring RNZ Music listeners a front row seat.

On Country Life this week, Merrall MacNeille farms 50 jersey cows and each one has a name and her own stall where she is fed and milked. The Port Chalmers farmer bottles the pasturised milk and sells it under his Holy Cow brand at the Dunedin Farmers market along with butter, halloumi cheese, cream and yogurt, and is about to launch a range of ice cream.
