On the Mixtape this week, Paddy Free, who is is one half of pioneering NZ electronic act Pitch Black, and has collaborated with our most prominent musicians - from Moana Manipoto and Neil Finn to the NZ Symphony Orchestra.
He shares some of his influences with Kirsten Johnstone for The Mixtape, and talks about his career, from a covers band in the late 80s, to forming Pitch Black and playing to tens of thousands at outdoor festival The Gathering, producing some classic albums like Salmonella Dub's Inside The Dub Plates, composing for contemporary dance productions, like the current Atamira show Onepu, and the forthcoming sixth Pitch Black album.
