Original works by two of Mexico’s most celebrated artists are coming to Tāmaki Makaurau for a special exhibition. 

Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera: Art and Life in Modern Mexico encompasses Kahlo’s striking self-portraits and Rivera’s prized easel paintings, alongside more than 150 artworks by leading Mexican artists including muralist David Siqueiros and painter María Izquierdo.

Curator Julia Waite has spent a year working on the exhibition, which opens next week.

The exhibition runs 15 October 2022 to 22 Jan 2023 at Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki. Head over here for more information and to buy tickets.

10:30 Punters bouncing into the weekend at Megaland 

The thought of tackling an obstacle course is probably enough to make most of us break out in hives. But what about a gigantic bouncy castle billed as one of the largest inflatable obstacle courses in the world? 

Megaland is a colossal inflatable obstacle course, measuring an epic 300 meters long with 43 challenging obstacles along the way.

Andrew Broadley is one of the punters that has been put to the test at Mt Smart Stadium, where Megland will be until October 15.
