9:35 Mark Hadlow returns in GOMIL: Grumpy Old Man in Lycra
Mark Hadlow is a legend of New Zealand stage and screen, appearing in blockbusters like King Kong and The Hobbit, and no stranger to Shakespeare.
The theatrical run of Mark's one-man-show, MAMIL (Middle Aged Man in Lycra) received rave reviews, touring for eight years across the country and attracting an audience of 70,000.
Now, he's getting back on his bike for the inevitable follow-up: GOMIL, or Grumpy Old Man in Lycra.
It's showing at Nelson's Founders Heritage Park, kicking off this very weekend.
He joins Mark Leishman.

Westport has been plagued by flooding since European settlement, with regular damage being done to roads and houses.

10:45 Ready, set, snow: World's southernmost ultramarathon held in Antarctica
Dr Inia Raumati is a senior emergency doctor at Auckland City Hospital and is about to compete in Antarctica’s only multi-stage footrace – the 6-stage 250km-long The Last Desert.
Inia has already completed seven self-supported races during 2024 – in New Zealand, Namibia, Peru, Mongolia, the United States and Australia – as part of the Racing The Planet series.
Inia is doing it all to raise money and support Kiwi kids into embracing their potential and dream careers.
