April 4, 2019 will mark 70 sears since the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation came into being - the world's longest peacetime military alliance. Joe Burton is an expert on NATO and is a senior lecturer at both the New Zealand Institute for Security and at Waikato University. He begins by telling Bryan about some of the events which lead to NATO's formation .
