Last week news broke that streaming giant Netflix has acquired the rights to the full back catalogue of the works of 20th Century author Roald Dahl. It had to spend a huge amount of cash to get the Roald Dahl Story Company, and Netflix has committed to a production budget of over one billion dollars to create series and one off productions out of Dahl's stories. It's the latest in a series of big scale "content" acquisitions in the fierce competition between streaming services.
