Has Gen-Z - those born between 1997 and 2012 - developed a completely different way of communicating? Every generation invents its own slang and ways of communicating is social media making those differences between age groups even greater? So called TikTok language is even spreading to into the mainstream with Goblin Mode being chosen as the word of the year by the Oxford Dictonary. 'Goblin mode' by the way is a type of behaviour which is unapologetically self-indulgent, lazy, slovenly, or greedy, typically in a way that rejects social norms or expectations.'
