When Nights last spoke to Jason Cleland, him and five mates had come together to buy their local watering hole.
The Waikaka Royal Hotel in Southland was saved, meaning the community would still have a place to come together.
With the official opening of the hotel tomorrow, Emile Donovan checked in with Cleland to hear how things have progressed.
