The Taupo District Council is auctioning off the personalised plate which once belonged to the former, late mayor Joan Williamson, who served from 1986 to 2001
And proceeds are going back into Council projects.
John Williamson is the son of Joan Williamson, and himself a Taupo District Councillor, and he joins Emile Donovan.
