New Zealand wool's triumphant return?

From Nights, 10:18 pm on 4 July 2024

The New Zealand wool industry has been languishing for years, with buying prices low, cheap synthetic materials taking old customers, and farmers in a state of despondency.

But just this week, some international tariffs have been lifted from New Zealand wool, and a new education programme on wool dynamics has been announced for both primary-aged children and university design schools.

Emile Donovan speaks to Campaign for Wool chair Ryan Cosgrove.

Ryan smiles at the camera. He stands with his arms folded in a garden with leafy trees all around him. He wears glasses and a black tshirt.
