Testimonials of near misses, harassment and unsafe driving have poured in as part of a campaign to raise awareness of horse riders' right to share the road.

Spokesperson for the New Zealand Equestrian Advocacy Network and founder of the Canterbury Equestrian Advocacy Group Julia McLean has been presenting to councils the length and breadth of New Zealand on why horse riders need added legal protection.

She joins Emile Donovan to share why she wants horse riders classed as 'vulnerable road users' in legislation.
