Every Monday on Nights, to set the tone for the week ahead, we have a guest on to share a whakataukī - a Māori proverb - that resonates with them.
This week, our guest is Dr Peter Keegan (Waikato-Maniapoto, Ngāti Porou), who is a linguist and senior lecturer at the University of Auckland.
Peter is an advocate for the use of te reo Māori for non-Māori topics, and this year self-published a book, Ko te Torotoro i te Whenua o Īnia, which explores his travels to India over the past 30 years.
