The importance of court interpreters and why they're not just translating

It's a difficult but important job that's been in the media lately due to the Yanfei Bao murder trial.

A court interpreter helps people who find it hard to speak or understand English participate in a court or tribunal hearing - ensuring a fair process.

Henry Liu is an experienced court interpreter and has been an advisor to the Chief Justice and the Ministry of Justice.

He talks to Emile Donovan about how vital the role is.
