Short-Cuts with Dan Slevin

From Nights, 9:30 pm on 22 November 2024

Nights' resident film critic Dan Slevin joins Emile Donovan with new picks for the weekend.

This week Dan is looking at Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait (Gordon/Parreno, 2006) a football documentary in which 17 cameras follow one player for an entire match; Daughters (Patton/Rae, 2024), a powerful documentary about a group of incarcerated men preparing for a special "Daddy Daughter Dance" and the rare opportunity to spend quality time - and even touch - with their daughters; and Goodrich (Meyers-Shyer, 2024), a comedy/drama in which Michael Keaton plays an LA art dealer who realises that his selfishness has damaged his most important relationships.
