The Bug of the Year, New Zealand's most prestigious insect pageant, has announced its winner.
The Velvet Worm, or ngāokeoke, has taken out the crown by the narrowest of margins.
The velvet worm's campaign was managed by Otago Museum and collections technician On Lee Lau joins Emile Donovan.
