Book review: "The Magisterium: The Iron Trial"

Charlotte Graham reviews "The Magisterium: The Iron Trial", by Cassandra Clare and Holly Black (Doubleday, RRP $34.99). It's a new YA fantasy novel that's the first in a planned five-book series following the progress of a group of teenagers through a magic training academy. The book garnered interest ahead of its release because it's written by two heavy hitters in the contemporary YA field - Cassandra Clare writes the best-selling "The Mortal Instruments" series, and Holly Black is the author of "The Spiderwick Chronicles".
