The economist and philanthropist Gareth Morgan has announced a new political party named The Opportunities Party, or TOP.
He tells Kathryn Ryan the function of the party is to have an influence on whoever is in government.
"New Zealand is just not fulfilling its potential. It’s about can I give them a bit of a nudge so that we do a bit better."
