Volcano threat forces mass evacuations in Vanuatu

Vanuatu's government has given the 11,000 Ambae island residents just one week to evacuate their homes following threats from the Manaro volcano. At least 7,000 residents have already been relocated from danger zones around the volcano to coastal evacuation centres, pending their removal to other islands. The volcano started erupting on Saturday after weeks of rumbling, killing trees and crops. Lynn Freeman gets the latest from Len Garae, a senior journalist from the Vanuatu Daily Post.
