Boy bands and fangirls

From The Beatles to One Direction, millions of young girls and women over the decades have fallen in love with boy bands and some have taken their obsessions to the extreme.

Australian film Producer Rita Walsh and her friend, director Jessica Leski have made a feature documentary following a group of women - from a teenager to a women in her late 60s - whose lives have changed by the boy bands they've loved.

I Used to be Normal: A Boyband Fangirl Story  is screening as part of the International Film Festival. Rita tells Kathryn about the project, filmed over four years.
