The author, journalist and columnist was the first trans man to box in Madison Square Garden, is a "masculinity expert" for VICE, and worked as a television writer for the forthcoming Netflix show, Tales of the City. He talks to Kathryn Ryan about his new memoir 'Amateur: A True Story About What Makes a Man'.
