Hits to council revenues, amid a pandemic, and as they grapple with generational challenges like climate change,  means adequate funding at local level has failed to keep pace.

Local Government New Zealand is calling for a difficult but full and frank conversation with central government about how the two can work together towards a more sustainable future.
