Max Laver's always been a maker. Even as his child - the go-carts he constructed were more like chariots. He's turned his passion into a living, making fibreglass dinghies, tables for children, and setting up a business creating carbon tipping bins for the trucking industry.
Max had lived all around the world before, on a rainy day in Ireland, he decided to take a job in Tauranga 18 years ago. Now he and his family live between Omokoroa near Tauranga, and Piopio a tiny town near Te Kuiti.
