Consumer prices rose 2.2 per cent in the three months ended September - driven by higher food and housing costs.
The annual rate has eased marginally to 7.2 percent from 7.3 percent, which was a 32 year high.The number was well above expectation for a quarterly rise of 1.6 percent and an annual figure of 6.6 percent.
