Poland's government is holding an urgent meeting of its national security and defence committee after reports Russian missiles crossed into its territory, killing two people.
It's believed two stray missiles hit a Polish village near the border of Ukraine. Local firefighters told Reuters two people had died in an explosion - a senior US intelligence official told the Associated Press the missiles had crossed into Poland, which is a member of NATO.
Russia had been bombarding cities in Ukraine overnight - hitting cities including Kyiv and Lviv in the west, Kharkiv in the northeast and Odessa in the south.
