Rhapsody for a Rock Wren is a short film about the endangered bird known in te reo Māori as pīwauwau.
It was recorded in Mount Aspiring National Park by University of Otago science student Lauren Schaer - and has screened at international film festivals.
This year, Lauren also led Team Rock Wren to win the 2022 Bird of the Year competition, even composing the rap 'Wrenegade'.
