Australia correspondent Karen Middleton joins Kathryn to talk about a new political battlefront opening up ahead of next year's election: migration and its role in the housing crisis.

Opposition leader Peter Dutton is vowing to cut permanent migration by 25 percent arguing it could help solve the unaffordability crisis, but the government says it's not that simple.

Australian citizen Julian Assange has been given a reprieve by a UK court, three A-League football players have been suspended over an alleged betting scandal, and champion footballer Samantha Kerr is out of the Matildas' team for the Paris Olympics through injury.
