After her historic win of the freeride skiing world championships in 2022, Kiwi extreme skier Jess Hotter has continued taking her ski talents to new heights.

And now she's being recognised on the big screen.

She's just been named Standout Female Skier of the Year at the International Freesports Film Festival in Whistler, Canada.

Hailing from Ohakune, Jess starred in the freeskiing film Beyond which features her and fellow freeskiers as they travel around impressive ski locations like Whitecap Lodge, Mt Baker and Whistler Blackcomb.

She's continued filming - most recently in Glenorchy down south.
