Kalimpong Kids
Jane McCabe is a Dunedin PhD candidate who has uncovered a little-known part of New Zeakand's history, when 130 mixed race children were brought here from India in the early 1900s by Dr John Graham, a Scottish Presbyterian missionary. Jane's grandmother was one of the young people who was brought to Dunedin as part of the scheme – she never talked to her family about it.
