Jolie Holland is a self-trained singer-songwriter whose musical identity manifested while working as an itinerant songwriter throughout the American South. She was a founding member of Be-Good Tanyas, then released Catalpa, her much-adored debut. This was followed by Escondida, which earned raves from the press and fans like Tom Waits. Jolie's latest album 'Springtime Can Kill You' encompasses haunted lust, true adoration, gentle torment and persistent whispers.
