The Government says it favours the idea of Local Area Coordination and has directed officials to have a look at the Western Australian model to check out whether it could work here. So what is Local Area Coordination? Well here to answer that question is the man who helped set it up. Eddie Bartnik is the Director of the Disability Services Commission, headquartered in Perth. He's had a long career in supporting disabled people and their families in Australia and around the world.
