One In Five for Sunday 3 May 2009

We meet up with Dr Diane Jorgensen, researcher and lecturer at Auckland University. She's talking about a recent world leading survey of carers. First up though, it's picture not so perfect. That's if this film's title 'Nobody's Perfect' is any indication. Director Niko von Glasow is affected by Thalidomide induced deformity. The film documents eleven people as they prepare to pose naked for a book of photos. All were born disabled, - like the director himself, due to the side-effects of Thalidomide.
