More and more disabled people are beginning to call the shots when it comes to the supports and services they need.
Twelve hundred people now have an individualised budget that lets them control when and how their support is delivered and who they are happy to work with. Individualised funding’s not been available long in New Zealand.
One in Five this week takes a look at how it’s working and how it has changed the lives of those who use it.
