It's been a huge year for Hera Lindsay Bird whose debut collection of poetry has brought her to the attention of the world.
Her work has been published by The Toast, The Hairpin, Sport, Hue & Cry, The Spinoff, The New Zealand Listener, and Best New Zealand Poems. She is currently living in Wellington.
Her work - explicit, irreverent and autobiographical - is unashamedly personal.
She joined Kim Hill and talked about her love of ellipsis, the circuitous poem and to read an unpublished poem Speech Time.
