Australian musical comedian Tim Minchin is a swiss army knife of entertainment.
He can be political, silly, and tear-inducing - all within the course of a song.
As a composer he's written super-catchy songs for the mega-hit musical based on Roald Dahl's Matilda, which won a record 7 Olivier Awards, and 5 Tony Awards.
In 2020 he released a studio album of more serious songs, "Apart Together".
He also acts on stage and the screen - with credits including Upright, Californication, and the upcoming Disney Plus series, The Artful Dodger. He has released a graphic novel and two children's books.
His latest show, An Unfunny* Evening with Tim Minchin and His Piano is coming to Wellington, Auckland and Christchurch in March.
