Patchwork faith

Trish McBride used to be deeply committed to a religious life as part of an institutionalised, hierarchical church system. Now she sees herself as being free of all that, having embarked on a spiritual quest for more inclusive metaphors and symbols. So why did Trish McBride feel the need to move away from a religious framework dominated by male language and power to an all encompassing spirituality where a common sense of the divine inhabits the many and varied faith traditions?

Trish McBride is a quilter, artist, writer, experienced counsellor, and Spiritual Director who has devoted her life to understanding what unites and joins people together in the search for spiritual meaning and purpose.
