Lunch Time Chanting
What does it mean to be nourished? For some it's simply an intake of food to feed a rumbling tummy, for others it's a spiritual matter.
At Soka Gakai International in Wellington, Sonia Sly pops into the discreet Buddhist centre, tucked amidst office blocks in the business district to meet the people who seek their source of nourishment in the form of chanting.
The centre holds lunch time sessions every Tuesday where people drop in to chant with others, hear a presentation by a volunteer, and discuss the challenges and benefits they experience in their spiritual practice.
