Auckland War Memorial Museum is about to unveil its new gallery, coinciding with the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Passchendaele. It's interactive, using virtual reality and other technology to help young people find out the daily realities of war, to understand why people were motivated to fight in the Great War, or to be conscientious objectors. Ben Bradford, the Museum's Exhibition Developer, explains to Lynn Freeman that this is the second new gallery opened, as the Museum undergoes a massive renovation.
