Auckland Arts Festival - Miriama McDowell

The Auckland Arts Festival is on between the 8th and 26th of March. One of the plays being prepared for the festival is co-written and co-performed by Miriama McDowell, who is well known to New Zealand audiences having appeared in such works as the mini-series Hope and Wire and The Dark Horse. Her festival work is a play called Cellfish, in which the hardened inmates of a men's prison opt for Shakespeare classes with a scary sounding tutor called Miss Lucy. Miriama is also currently directing rehearsals of Much Ado About Nothing at the Pop Up Globe, and she ducks out to talk to Jesse.
