The future of content
The name Trevor Agnew might ring a bell to some Christchurch-based listeners. Trevor was the TV critic for the local newspaper, The Press, for nigh-on 30 years. And what a time to be a TV critic! Overseeing the maturation of the medium, from a kitsch land, occupied by sentimental sitcoms and over-the-top soaps, through the birth of HBO and long-form serialised drama, to the current landscape of streaming and the rise and rise of "reality". So what does a retired TV critic do with their time once they've hung up the typewriter?
