Snowed inn - and happy about it

From Summer Times, 9:10 am on 9 January 2025

A group of pub-goers in Yorkshire's Tan Hill Inn have been snowed into the establishment since Saturday night (UK time).

The 33 guests have kept busy playing board games, having sing-alongs, and by all accounts becoming friends for life.

It's not the first time the pub, which sits at 528 metres above sea level, has become a cosy lock-in due to heavy snow.

Manager Nicole Hayes phones in to Summer Times from Tan Hill Inn.

Nicole and Paul smile. They are standing outside in heavy snow, wearing big jackets. They hold snowballs in their hands.
