Museum stop: New Zealand Maritime Museum

From Summer Times, 10:45 am today

As an island nation, Aotearoa has a rich maritime history - one that is being preserved nowhere moreso than at the New Zealand Maritime Museum here in Tāmaki Makaurau.

Current and upcoming exhibits include Antarctica as seen through the eyes of a group of young artists or perhaps you'd like to see it for yourself through the magic of virtual reality. And for those of you who fancy a sail, the museum also maintains a fleet of historical vessels for regular trips on the harbour.

Museum Director Vincent Lipanovich joins Anna in the Auckland studio.
