Cold Chisel have been touring across the Tasman to mark the big fiftieth, teaming up with another iconic Aussie band Icehouse and Amercian rockers Everclear.
A successful solo career and considered one of the best guitarists to come out of Australia, Ian Moss is a driving force behind the band's huge success and numerous hits.
He caught up with Anna Thomas to talk five decades of rock, and whether there is a unique music style that Kiwis and Aussies have developed down under.
