Scott Kvick is a 20-year-old geology student at the University of Otago. He decided he wanted to travel from Cape Reinga to Bluff under his own steam to raise money for two charities. But to make it interesting he's not walking or cycling, he's skiking. Scott joins Noelle to explain.

CK Stead, the novelist, literary critic, poet and essayist, joins Noelle for a wide ranging discussion about literature, the process of writing, New Zealand and the Seresin Landfall Residency. CK Stead was the inaugural winner of the residency in 2009 and is keen to encourage applications for programme in 2010. Writers have till 31st January to apply.
