The provincial town of Masterton has been hit by two tragedies in the first two weeks of the year.
Over the weekend Masterton father and son Darren and Joshua Southon drowned while snorkelling for paua.
And on Monday a man and woman were killed at a Castlepoint address - their deaths are being treated as suspicious.
